WE Bridge Academy is perfectly situated in the very heart of Cardiff city centre. Cardiff, Wales’ capital city offers spectacular shopping, museums, dining and entertainment. Easy to explore on foot you can visit the free National Museum Cardiff and spectacular Cardiff Castle all within the city itself.

Cardiff is just two hours away from London by train and the hub to many exciting cities including Bath and Bristol. Cardiff is a clean, friendly city with so much to offer people of all ages.

There are six Victorian arcades in Cardiff, offering an intimate environment for shoppers who enjoy an alternative to the well-trodden path of the high street. The Castle Quarter is made up of High Street Arcade, Duke Street Arcade and Castle Arcade. These are historic structures full of vintage clothes stores, craft shops and coffee shops.

Cardiff Castle lies within the city centre and many local points of interest are all within walking distance of the WE Bridge Academy. Cardiff Bay is less than 10 minutes from the academy using local transport with a wide selection of bars, restaurants and home to the Welsh Assembly Government.

There is so much to do in and around Cardiff, we have listed some of our favourites for you:

The Taff Trail; Cardiff has more green space than any other city in Europe, per head of population. The Taff Trail makes the most of former rail routes, towpaths and tramways, allowing you to walk or cycle from Cardiff Bay through 2000 acres of parkland, all the way to the moorland of the Brecon Beacons, if you really need some extra miles to work off that Sunday lunch.

Cardiff International White Water; The white-water experience is located in Cardiff Bay, near two of Wales’ most famous urban landmarks. Not that you’ll be able to appreciate the finest architectural points of the National Assembly Building and the Wales Millennium Centre as you go crashing through the rapids in a canoe or on a white-water raft.

Cardiff International Pool is an Olympic-sized pool for the serious swimmers plus a great leisure pool with slides, flumes and a lazy river.

Delta Force Paint balling; Located just outside Cardiff. Ask for discounts if you’re taking a decent sized group and remember your student ID card too!
